This policy describes how lmgt.com (“LMGT”, “the Site”) handles information. Last updated: August 2026.
What this site is
LMGT is a small joke page. You type a search query, get a shareable link, and the recipient watches a short animation before being sent to Google Search. There are no accounts, no comments, and no contact forms on the Site.
What we collect
-
Query text in the URL. The search phrase you enter is placed in the
page URL (
?q=…) so the link can be shared. Anyone with the link can see that text. Do not put secrets, passwords, or personal data in a query. -
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-Z0FB47D9NV) to understand aggregate traffic (for example page views and approximate geography). Google may set cookies or use similar technologies as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. - Which buttons get used. Alongside page views we count a few interactions — composing a link, copying it, sharing it, previewing it, and whether the “be nice” option was on — so we can tell which parts of the page are worth keeping. Your query text is never sent to analytics; where length is recorded, it is the number of characters only.
-
Shortened links, only if you ask for one. Turning on “Shorten it” sends
the composed link — which contains your query text — to
tsn.io, our own shortener, which stores it so the short link can redirect later. Leave the option off and nothing about your query leaves your browser except the page request itself. Shortened links are not secret: anyone holding one can follow it and read the query.tsn.ioonly ever redirects to sites we run, and records no IP address; its rate limiting uses a rotating one-way hash instead. Links made here before are onysn.ioand still work on the same terms; that shortener no longer makes new links. - Server and network logs. The hosting provider may keep standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs) for operations and abuse prevention.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not create user accounts. We do not store your search queries on our servers beyond what appears in request logs — with one exception you control: a link you choose to shorten is stored, because a short link that forgets where it points is of no use.
- We do not require you to provide a name, email, or payment details to use the Site.
Third-party destinations
After playback, the Site redirects to Google Search (or Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” result). That destination is operated by Google and is subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy. Footer links may also take you to Ship It Weekly or Teller’s Tech, which have their own policies.
Children
The Site is a general-audience joke and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the Site changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
